Chicago Bears a week in review
After week 4 there has been some ups and down for us Bears fans. At this point I think we are all in agreement that Nagy needs to be fired. After some of his play call decisions and waiting this long to start Justin Fields I have began to question if he even the desire to win this year, and not just want to tank for a better draft pick. After watching the Bears for the last few weeks I have noticed that our defense has still continued to do most of the work, and in most cases has won us the only game we have won. I think that the Bears need to focus more on their coaching rather than their players since every week the studs on the team continue to perform well. It seems like we are on the tail end years of having one of the best defenses in the league, and we have nothing to show for it. My current analysis of the bears is that we are focusing too much on player development, when we already have good players. We need to put them to use and trust them a little. I've been watching this team for years, and within the past five people have feared to play us because our defense. We cannot continue to only put up one 30 point game a season and expect to go far. Our coaching staff (mostly the head coach Matt Nagy) does not trust our players enough to call their own plays and make decisions in crunch time. Many make or break games have been broke by Nagy's play calls and if we want to start winning games this has to stop. The only way I see this happening is if we fire him and promote our defensive coordinator since he has proven himself that he can run a team. My final critiques of the bears is to, Fire Nagy, trust Fields, and stop relying on our defense to solely win us the game.
